Hosted by the ACCA Contemporaries, the Art Magazine Party welcomes young patrons, emerging artists, and guests from the worlds of art, fashion, business, philanthropy, and entertainment for an evening of cocktails, music, exclusive exhibition viewing, and more.

Jamie Nelson will be in person featuring her colorful, over-the-top, iconic imagery; she blurs the lines between commercial, art and editorial worlds. Known for her eclectic style, Nelson is a living breathing artistic statement of her own.  She draws on a range of influences from photographer Guy Bourdin to filmmaker Federico Fellini—as well as movements such as punk music, vintage clothing, and motorcycle culture.  Her work has been used by brands such as Dior, Shiseido, and Sak’s Fifth Avenue; and published in Playboy, Vogue, and Vanity Fair.  Her celebrity clients include Drew Barrymore, Halsey, and Camila Cabello; as well as iconic album covers with Gwen Stefani and Megan Thee Stallion.

Joan Agajanian Quinn who has been a dedicated supporter of the arts for decades will be our guest of honor. She served as the West Coast Editor of Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine and was the society editor of Hearst’s Herald Examiner and was a prominent member of the California Arts Council. Through her various positions, Joan was instrumental in promoting and helping artists forge their early careers. Her close relationships with California artists like George Herms, Laddie Dill, Lynda Benglis, Tony Berlant and Frank Gehry to name a few.

Guests will enjoy exclusive access to the exhibitions like Lance Chang’s Ballerinas, as well as all of the gallery collections. Cocktails will be provided by Victorioso.

The ACCA Journal is an in print and on-line publication that offers access to business of art, art news, artist profiles, interviews and much more with a local and international  distribution. In her latest exhibition, PERCEPTIONS, Sabrina uses the Old Masters’ Technique to impart importance and prestige to each item portrayed. Sabrina states that, “Discarded remnants of our consumerist culture reflect the seemingly small decisions, or groups of people, that build, like the layers of glaze, to an impactful statement. The cropped portrayal, which implies the limitless or unknown bounds of the subject, coupled with the suggestive titles and subliminal imagery, leads the viewer to ponder the hidden stories and impact of these ignored fragments and introspect about their own relationships with the environment, consumerist culture, one another, and themselves. Vibrant colors reinforce the strength and power of the overlooked.”
